Have a Christmas birthday party to plan?
We have three immediate family members who celebrate a birthday in December.
So, I figure I'm an expert on the subject!
With each of person celebrating a birthday at this meaningful time of the year, it is important to remember that their birthday is special and shouldn't get overshadowed by other seasonal celebrations.
Carving out some special time to celebrate, just as you would if their birthday were in another month, is really important.
With that said, sometimes it is fun to bring the two together. Having a holiday themed party can be fun and this idea is not just limited to Christmas.
For example, there are lots of October birthday parties that have a halloween theme party, so the same can be done for those December birthdays.
Our favorite for a kid party was that one year we did a Rudolph party, and it was a total success!

My only caution for celebrating these December birthdays is to make sure that the "birthday boy or girl" wants a holiday themed party before you plan it. If so, great!
If not, they may want something totally different and non-holiday!
