Christmas Party Extravaganza

Christmas is a time of giving, sharing, and enjoying the company of family friends and loved ones. It is also about helping those in need of help. A great idea for a Christmas party would be to have each guest bring a gift for a needy family or child to be donated to a local organization that will provide the gift for those people.

Another great idea would be an all adult affair, with a wine tasting and finger foods. Everyone invited should bring their favorite bottle of wine and the host could provide finger foods and other snacks.

A good idea for a large family party would be getting everyone together to help with a large meal. Making Christmas cocktails with holiday themed names like Mistletoe Margaritas, etc. Mocktails without alcohol content could be made available for the children.

A tree trimming party is a fabulous idea. Pizza could be ordered, and egg nog drank while trimming a tree.

At any party, toasts should be made celebrating each other's company and another year past. A mixture of traditional classic holiday music and new updated Christmas music should be played. If there is a fireplace, children in attendence should be supervised while toasting marshmellows. Hot toddies can be a great extra to a Christmas party in a cold climate.

A small gift bag of Christmas themed party favors would be a great idea. Things that could easily be purchased form a dollar store would be geat ideas. Or small to medium sized Christmas stockings could be stuffed with those same inexpensive trinkets along with Xmas candies like ribbon candy and candy canes.

Whatever the event it needs to be personalized for the host and the invitees. If done with care, any holiday party can be a great success.
