We have lots of Christmas party games for kids included on our Christmas party games list, but I was at a tween Christmas party for older kids recently and got to enjoy the games they played.
At this party, the top game was a variation of the Halloween mummy game.
You know the one where you divide into teams, someone is the "mummy", and everyone wraps them in toilet paper to make them look like a mummy.
See the photo below for the end result!
In this Christmas variation, you instead wrap the chosen person for each team as a Christmas Tree.
Use green crepe paper or green butcher paper to make the tree. Cover with ribbons, bows, and a great big star. See who does the best job!
Here is a photo from the party showing the fun results of this Christmas party game for kids:
This is the silliest party game! You'll need to have people who can blow up balloons and tie them. If necessary, have an adult on each team helping to tie balloons.
Divide into teams and give each team a bunch of balloons and a pair of panty hose.
Teams should blow up the balloons and use them to stuff the pantyhose. What you are doing is making "antlers".
When a team has finished, one member puts the antlers on and yells "Rudolph".
See who can do it the fastest!
Easy Christmas trivia for kids (Affiliate Link) and other printable games are games that are printable on your home computer. These make great activities while you are waiting for guests to arrive.

Have fun by singing Christmas songs together.
You can even go caroling as part of your kids party, or perhaps do karaoke.
Singing Christmas songs works great as Christmas party games for kids (and adults too).
Pinatas work for any party, any time, any place.
Party stores offer a huge selection of festive and fun Christmas pinatas.
If you don't want to buy a pinata, you can make one.
One simple way to make a Christmas pinata is by wrapping a box to look like a present and have it filled with all your pinata candy and treats.
Then just hang it up and let the fun begin!
Do you need help with creating a pinata?
If so, it is easy!
Just visit our page How to Make a Pinata for all the info you need.
This is oh so easy to set up, and fun too. You'll need a sheet of green construction paper for each person. Then, have each person hold the piece of paper behing their back and try to rip it in the the shape of a Christmas tree. You can also do this with blindfolds, and give everyone stickers to decorate their tree with (blindfolded).

Matching the Symbol
By: Susie C., Dayton, OH
Match the Days with the symbol (i.e. partridge in a pear tree.) Have a race to see who can be the first to they symbol. Use a large paper to list the days but not in order. Divide into two groups - the winning group is the group that correctly completes the list correctly first.
