A Dessert Party is the perfect ending to a night out. It also makes a wonderful ending to a progressive dinner. It can even be a fun fundraising party or way to celebrate an adult birthday party. There are a lot of opportunities and occasions for this event.

The Dessert Party Inspiration
Several years ago I worked in an office and our branch won an important goal. There were seven of us in the office, and as a reward, we were given a private mini-bus with driver, a nice budget to spend any way we wanted, and the day off! We spent the day shopping, having lunch and going to ride go-carts! And we finished the day at a great little dessert spot - as a matter of fact, at this restaurant, desserts is all they carried. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day.

Around the world...with Desserts
I love theme parties, and you could make this into a great theme! Choose desserts from other regions of the country or world, and have an Around the World Party that is dessert themed. You could include things like flan for Mexico and croissants for France.

- Have a party featuring desserts as an easy fundraising party. Just have a committee bring desserts and then charge admission!
- Wine Tastings...Beer Tastings...there are all sorts of tastings parties. Have a Dessert tasting party, and the object you are tasting is desserts.
Pie-palooza
We have a friend that loves pie. I mean he REALLY loves pie! Every year he hosts a "Piepalooza" party. It started out small, just a few pies he had made and he invited anyone who wanted to come. It is now a huge annual event that takes place at a community center. Everyone brings pie, eats pie, and leaves full and happy! There are so many pies at the event that the varieties of pies are divided into different categories are category is given their own separate table.
