Here are some sample party menus that might make it a little easier when planning your party!
What you decide to serve will in large part depend on these factors:
Number of people you will be serving
What help, if any, you'll have with serving food
If food will be served seated, or buffet style
Budget
Keep in mind that these are just suggestions of easy party foods. Serve things that you will like to eat, as well as your guests!

OK.
I'll have to stop here because I'm too hungry!! But hopefully these
ideas will give you a starting point while you brainstorm what food to
serve at a party.
Most of these menus can be served by
yourself. If you are having a large formal dinner party, you might look
into hiring a server or someone to help you in the kitchen. Often a
teenager or college student are happy to take on this task!
Whether you entertain a little, or a lot, everyone needs some basic serving pieces. I'd recommend platters, trays and bowls in various sizes, along with a fun piece like a two or three tier serving piece. A pitcher would be nice too. You'll also need flatware pieces for serving - spoons, forks and tongs.
A friend of mine has her pieces all in a basic white. They are perfect, because they go with any occasion from basic and informal, to formal! Another good choice would be clear. A basic color, like white or clear, will match anything, and you can add pieces to your set as you find them.
